Nell has published two novels – solitary pleasures (now out of print, although there may be used copies on amazon), and the golden web – as well as poems, short stories, articles and reviews, both online and in magazines (mostly small but perfectly formed). She has a passion for the natural world, conspiracy theories, archaic mystery, myth and legend, and most of her stories ferment and distill whilst walking with her dog on the South Downs. Her short stories have been shortlisted for Cadenza, Fandango Virtual and Flame Contests, and A Fear of Bulls was runner-up in a Writers' Forum Magazine competition. Her poem, The New Nomads, was a prizewinner in the 2007 Mirehouse Poetry Prize. She is a resident site expert on WriteWords, the writers' community online.
